Steven Crissall HNC in Building Studies
Development & Property Services Manager
Steve joined Orwell 18 years ago as a Development Officer and is now
responsible for managing both the Development and Property Services
departments.
Prior to working for Orwell Steve had 10 years’
experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a local building
contractor.
Greg Dodds BA (Hons) PG Dip, DMS, FCIOH
New Business Manager
Greg has close to 20 years’ experience working in a development
related capacity at a variety of Local Authorities and Housing
Associations and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and
has a Diploma in Management studies.
Greg brings forward new development opportunities on behalf of the
Association and has successfully secured new business for Orwell to
assist the organisations business growth ambitions having delivered
numerous public funded build programmes. Greg has been involved in
a wide range of new business ventures ranging from large scale capital development projects in City Centres to small rural sites and everything in between. Greg’s role is to identify opportunities for development in consultation with local stakeholders. This includes commissioning architects, designers and consultants, undertaking scheme appraisals, securing planning consent and necessary funding to ensure a healthy development programme.
Dawn Edwards BA (Hons) CIHM
Head of Development
Dawn joined Orwell 17 years ago; beginning in Housing Management and moving into Development in 2002 where shenow leads the Development Delivery Team in the project management of developments whilst under construction.
Dawn is the Associations main point of liaison with Homes England and has developed an excellent working relationship with them both locally and nationally and formed part of the consultation group that help shaped the new prospectus for the 2015-2018 programme.
Kelly Biddle MCIOB, AssocRICS
Senior Development Officer
Kelly joined Orwell over 17 years ago; beginning in Housing Management and moving into Development in 2003 where she has now attained a senior role. She is a qualified project manager and member of the Chartered Institute of Builders.
She provides support to the development team on more complex and larger schemes, and works with clients to bring schemes from concept through to completion.
Karen Suddes
Home Ownsership Officer
Karen is responsible for marketing all new home ownership initiatives, particularly shared ownership, self-build and leasehold for the elderly schemes.
Karen’s record in this role is demonstrated by the Association managing to have no unsold houses throughout the property slump.
Karen’s background is in marketing and management.
Karen Tydeman
Compliance & Project Officer
Karen has worked with the team for more than ten years and is
responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet any funding compliance requirements as well as project managing development projects whilst they are under construction.
Carolyn Allan
Compliance & Programming Officer
Carolyn’s role within the development team is to ensure that build contracts and consultant appointments are procured and appointed correctly, ensuring that all the required statutory and legal paperwork is compiled with and finances checked.
She also administers the various programmes that we have live at one time, ensuring that forecasts are accurate and pipeline projects are correctly processed.
Mark Rodwell BSc (Hons) MCIOB
Senior Development Officer
Mark joined Orwell’s Development Team in 2013; beginning as Empty Homes Surveyor before moving into New Business and eventually into Development Delivery. He is responsible for supporting existing e² consortium partners across East Anglia, ensuring successful delivery of member programmes in line with commitments.
Mark is also involved in Orwell’s own development programme, assisting with the transfer of schemes between the new business and pre-contract teams, and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders.
Kieran Bleasby
Assistant Project Officer
Kieran joined Orwell in 2015 and provides support to the Development Team, whilst developing an all round knowledge and understanding of housing development together with the business operations of a housing association.
He is currently studying part time for a foundation degree in Construction Management.
